Today, Jillian Crane, President and CEO of First Responders Children’s Foundation, announced that Randy Acosta has been appointed as Chief Development Officer.
FRCF is appealing to first responders across the country to apply to the Foundations programs, grants and scholarships, including the Foundation’s new Resiliency Program that provides mental and behavioral health support for children of first responders.
The First Responders Children’s Foundation Resiliency Program will protect and strengthen the mental resiliency of the children whose parents protect communities across the nation. These first responders often face challenges shielding their children from the stresses of their job.

Tony Mussorfiti is a retired lieutenant from the Fire Department of New York and a HAZMAT specialist. He serves on the Advisory Board of First Responders Children’s Foundation, as well as the Board of Advisors for Friends of Firefighters in Brooklyn, New York. Tony was part of the recovery effort at Ground Zero, after the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, and is concerned about the mental health of first responders.
