There are superheroes among us.
They run into burning buildings
to save people they have never met.
Every day battling terrifying threats
that put their own lives at risk.
They are undeterred by storms of
fire or ice or wind.
Protecting us while their
own families are home, waiting for them.
We support the children & families of our First Responder heroes who risk their lives every day in service to our communities.

Mission Statement
Our commitment to the children of first responders.
The children of first responders face a unique set of stressors that can impact their mental health. They hear stories of danger, illness, and loss. They fear what may happen to their hero. Our Resiliency Program helps these children through free confidential counseling.
22 years after 9/11, our mission remains more relevant than ever.
First responders face everything from pandemics to extreme weather to wildfires, stressful work that can result in financial insecurity, mental health challenges and more. They need our help.
Each year, approximately 330 first responders die in the line of duty, leaving behind their children and families.
It’s our mission to support those first responder family members left behind, to help them feel the strength of our community, and to honor their loved ones who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
We believe it’s our duty as citizens to support first responder families.
Our programs target areas where first responders and their families are most challenged, and where the resources of the Foundation can have the most impact.
We also support and facilitate programs that deepen the connection between first responders and the children in the communities they protect and serve.
Programs like the NYPD Music Camp, the Gloucester PD Fishing Camp and the Junior First Responders Firefighting Camp stimulate curiosity, confidence and teach kids the importance of helping others.
