Honoring Sandy's Legacy
Honoring Sandy's Legacy
Sandy J. Lupo was a proud champion of First Responders Children’s Foundation and a tireless advocate for children in need. A native New Yorker with a boundless heart, she was always the first to step in where help was needed—whether supporting education in her community, long after her own children had graduated, or going above and beyond for neighbors. Her generosity and unwavering commitment to others left a lasting impact on countless lives.
In her honor, her family, including her daughter and FRCF Board Member, Toni Lupo, are establishing a Memorial Scholarship to continue her legacy of lifting up children in times of need. A true force of nature—”often the loudest and shortest person in any room”—Sandy J. Lupo will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the opportunities created for the children of first responders.
About First Responders Children’s Foundation
First Responders Children’s Foundation is a national foundation that provides programs and resources that address the specific needs of children of first responders. The Foundation focuses on critical areas, including scholarships, financial assistance grants; bereavement assistance, mental health counseling for children; disaster relief; and community engagement programs to foster positive relationships between first responder agencies and the communities they serve. FRCF was founded over 23 years ago in response to 9/11 when 800 children lost a first responder parent.
The success of our programs is only possible with the generous support of donors like you.
There is no greater way of demonstrating respect and appreciation for your community than by supporting our first responders on the front lines.
