First Responders Children’s Foundation provides financial support to children who have lost a parent in the line of duty and families enduring significant financial hardship due to tragic circumstances. The Foundation also supports educational activities and programs created and operated by first responder organizations whose purpose is to benefit children or the communities in which they live.
When disaster strikes – whether it’s a pandemic, hurricane, fire, flood, or terrorist attack – our first responders are first on the scene to help. Frequently, that means physical, mental, and emotional stress as our first responders risk lives, equipment, and supplies to rescue us. Fortunately, the Emergency Response Fund can help by providing support for first responders and their families who are enduring hardship. Right now, first responders are on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic in every community across the country. If you are a first responder in need, please click the button to apply for a grant. If you can donate to the Emergency Response Fund, please click the donation button, and thank you.
First responders are paramedics, emergency medical technicians, police officers, firefighters, and personnel directly supporting police and fire departments such as 911 dispatchers. The brave medical personnel and staff of the emergency services of the hospitals and health facilities that are treating COVID-19 patients shall be deemed first responders for the purpose of being eligible for grants from the Emergency Response Fund.

Our Mission During the Pandemic
During the pandemic, First Responders Children’s Foundation is helping the families of first responders including nurses, medical personnel, firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and paramedics who are on the front lines of dealing with COVID-19. For 20 years, First Responders Children’s Foundation has provided college scholarships for the children of those injured or killed in the line of duty, and the Foundation continues to do that now more than ever. And, with your help, we are providing PPE, financial grants, and temporary housing to stem the spread of hardship and infection among first responder families and the communities they serve. As public interaction and the prevalence of COVID-19 increases, we will continue to provide this much-needed care.

Thank You First Responders
The song, “One World,” was written and produced by Academy Award-winning composer Franke Previte who wrote the 1987 hit, “I’ve Had The Time of My Life,” from the film “Dirty Dancing.” “One World” salutes the resilience of the nation – and heroic first responders – dealing with a pandemic. First Responders Children’s Foundation is proud to be the beneficiary of revenue generated by this anthem of strength in a time of crisis.
