Skylar “Lucky Sky” Kehoe, age 11, sings with grace in support of First Responders Children’s Foundation

Skylar “Lucky Sky” Kehoe with Jillian at Thanksgiving

In 2019, at the age of 9, Skylar Kehoe was a volunteer at the 1stRCF annual Thanksgiving Day Parade Breakfast at Bryant Park, and the event left a tremendous impression on her.

“After the event, Sky asked me a hundred questions about the first responder families,” recalls her mother Cara, who also attended the Thanksgiving Day event, along with her four other young children. “She wanted to know if Jillian (Jillian Crane, President of 1stRCF) worked for Santa to help get all the kids presents!”

Born in Brooklyn, raised in Manhattan and now residing in Venice, Florida, Sky has a passion for music, and in 2020 she wrote her own holiday ballad, “What Christmas Means to Me”. The song was recorded last year.

“Sky has a huge heart and always wants to help,” said Cara, “so when we heard her song was going to be released, she asked if she could donate the profits ‘to the lady with the red hair’ (Jillian) to buy more presents and help Santa!”

Check out Sky’s beautiful song below. Proceeds from the sale of the song will be donated to @1stRCF.
