Emergency Hardship Grants
We extend a financial lifeline to first responder families when unforeseen emergencies strike.
The Emergency Hardship Grant program provides one-time financial assistance to first responder families with children facing unexpected financial crises. Grants help cover essential living expenses—including rent, mortgage, utilities, and childcare—to help families remain stable during difficult times.
While medical and credit card bills are not eligible expenses, they are considered as part of the application review process.
Emergency Hardship Grant
Life can take unexpected turns, and the first responder heroes who show up to save us are not immune from crisis. Unforeseeable emergency events can lead to foreclosure, eviction notices, utility disconnection notices, or loss of childcare services. The resulting financial hardships all too often affect children the most.
We are proud to offer one-time Emergency Hardship Grants to first responder families with children under the age of 18 in the home, or adult children with special needs still living at home who require ongoing care. These grants are intended to help bridge the gap in times of unexpected hardship by directly paying core monthly expenses such as rent, mortgage, utilities, or childcare.
*Please note that Emergency Hardship Grants cannot cover medical or credit card bills, but these bills are taken into consideration when applications are reviewed.
