Show Families of First Responders You Care
Your support helps kids like Annie find strength, healing, and hope after tragedy.
Annie's Story
The night before Annie’s high school graduation, she waved to her dad as he left for work.
“It was the last time I ever saw him,” she recalls.
The next day should have been one of the happiest of her life. Her dad, Deputy Constable Caleb Rule, was supposed to be there, watching proudly as she accepted her diploma. Instead, Annie woke to the news that her dad was shot while responding to a call. He didn’t survive.
“The hardest part for me is that I didn’t get to say goodnight or I love you,” Annie says.
Whether they’re firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, 911 dispatchers, or law enforcement officers like Annie’s dad — first responders risk their lives every day to protect us.
Help Us Help These Heroes
When a first responder takes an oath to serve, their families serve with them—only in silence.
They carry the weight of uncertainty, celebrate milestones with an empty seat at the table, and stand strong so their loved ones can run toward danger. Their service is quiet, constant, and often overlooked—but not by us.
At First Responders Children’s Foundation, we see the families behind the badge. Because when one person answers the call, a whole family stands behind them. And we stand with them, every step of the way.
