First Responders Legacy
A New Web Platform for First Responders to
Record Personal Messages for Posterity

The new web platform First Responders Legacy (www.FirstRespondersLegacy.org) lets first responders record free personal voice messages, photos, and special content which can be delivered at later dates upon the death of the individual.  First Responders Legacy was created by Michael Anzalone after the passing of his father, a World War II veteran.  When Michael heard a voice mail message from his late father, it filled him with such emotion that it propelled him to develop the technology for First Responders Legacy as a way to give back to the brave first responder men and women who serve our country every day.  Try First Responder Legacy at www.FirstRespondersLegacy.org.  It’s free for all active first responders, and if you use the promotional code “frcf” it shows that you heard about it from First Responders Children’s Foundation.

MyID Sign-Up
Bracelet with Online Medical Profile for Emergencies
Discount Code "frcf" During the Month of December, 2019

MyID is an online medical profile that allows users to store and manage their medical information and rapidly share it with first responders when unable to communicate.  The profile and app are free.  During the month of December, MyID (www.GetMyID.com) is offering a special sign-up for first responders, and 15% of every bracelet purchase will be donated to First Responder Children’s Foundation – just use the discount code “frcf” when ordering.

MyID was invented by Steve Schone out of frustration with managing and sharing his mother’s cancer care and ensuring first responders understood how to treat his child’s serious heart condition.  Since many health conditions require more than a few words to explain, it became Steve’s mission to create a simple and convenient platform that connected stylish wearables to vital medical information.

MyID allows users to access, store, and manage their medical and emergency contact information on a secure website or smartphone app.  Users decide what information is visible to those who access their profile by managing a public and private view and link their MyID products to the public view.  First responders know to look for the Start of Life symbol on each MyID product alerting them to access the profile information by scanning a unique QR code, visiting the website, or calling worldwide toll-free 24/7 live support.  MyID is available in five major languages serving users in 70+ countries.  First responders across the country have been supporting this new technology as MyID comes to their communities.

During the month of December, if you sign up with MyID at www.GetMyID.com with the code “frcf,” 15% of every purchase will support First Responders Children’s Foundation and college scholarships for children of first responders who have been killed or disabled in the line of duty.

Great Gatsby Theme Party
Yorba Linda, California
April 6, 2019

April 6, 2019 – Members of the Orange County Sherriff’s Department, the Garden Grove, California Police Department, and the Department of Homeland Security (Federal Protective Service) enjoyed a Great Gatsby theme party near Los Angeles, California complete with roaring 20’s attire and a red carpet entrance all to raise funds to support First Responders Children’s Foundation.  Department of Homeland Security Special Agent Thomas Smith reports, “Being that I am in law-enforcement, we decided to do a fundraising event for First Responders Children’s Foundation, and to make the party more exciting we did a 20’s theme Gatsby party where I also proposed to Lauren, my fiancée.  We had about 140 who attended and had everything to include decorations, dancers, a DJ, and a casino.  I have a few friends that work for the Orange County sheriff’s department, and I told their watch commander that everyone on duty in the city where we had the party was welcome to eat for free that night as well.  I wanted to show my soon-to-be in-laws how close knit the law enforcement community was and that we were just like all the citizens we’ve chosen to protect.  I also have two children who I would want taken care of in the event something happens to me which is why I chose your foundation.”
